American Brain Tumor Association: The American Brain Tumor Association is a not-for-profit, independent organization. Not affiliated with any one institution, we serve individuals globally and award funds to researchers throughout the United States and Canada.
Gray Matters!: Is there any better way to celebrate someone you love than by celebrating life? More than 190,000 Americans are diagnosed with brain tumors each year. Their cause is unknown. Removing them often results in the destruction of healthy brain tissue and permanent side effects such as memory loss, loss of mobility, loss of speech, vision problems, and seizures. The American Brain Tumor Association exists to eliminate brain tumors through research and to meet the needs of patients and their families. You can help find a cure by supporting the ABTA's Gray Matters! Gift Club. It's easy. Make a list of all the people who would appreciate a meaningful gift this holiday season rather than the toaster cover or fruitcake you gave them last year. Then, log on to http://hope.abta.org/events5.htm to make a donation for each person. They will receive a beautiful ABTA greeting card, a gray ribbon pin, and more according to your donation level. Or, determine your donation level and sign up your honoree on the accompanying fundraiser registration card. Their name will be listed in the tri-annual ABTA newsletter and in the ABTA Humor to Fight the Tumor 2007 Benefit program. Recognize your loved ones on any special occasions, and help the ABTA make a difference.
